Baby Abigail

May 15th, 2008, we had our beautiful bright-eyed baby girl, Abigail Lee Sewell. I have to admit I have a whole new appreciation for moms and all it requires to bring these angels here, pregnancy and all, but now that she's here, it was all more than worth it! Luckily I had an easy labor, 8 days early, starting with my water breaking but without contractions, so I was able to get an epidural early on. She was born at 1:30pm weighing 8lbs 4oz and has been the sunshine in our lives ever since.

Mexico 2007

In January 2007, Nate and I were able to go to Mexico, thanks to a previous wedding gift from my mom and dad, which allowed us to stay in a nice resort on the Riviera Maya for cheap. Besides hitting the waves, soaking up the sun, and strolling through romantic Playa del Carmen, we were able to explore 3 sets of ruins, which was a total adventure and great workout!! We went to Coba, Tulum and Becan, and also spent a day swimming and snorkling at Xelha. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back somehow, someday soon!

Our Wedding

Nate officially proposed to me on Labor Day night 2005 (he waited till he had the ring in hand) at a spot overlooking the city and the Salt Lake temple. It was all a big surprise, since he'd just informed me a few days beforehand that we'd get it just in time for the wedding. The way he asked was sweet, romantic, thoughtful, and did I mention sweet? Thanks to everyone’s help and support, our dream became reality on September 30, 2005 with our ideal wedding day. We were married in the Salt Lake temple, the day was beautiful, sunny and warm, and the reception was a ton of fun - it was perfect. Luckily we got it all on video, so we often go back and watch it all over again! Thanks to all who shared the experience with us!!

Our History

Nate and I met while working at a boys group home in Lindon, Utah. Over the course of many months, we began to fall for each other, keeping it hush hush, (since Nate was my supervisor) and finding reasons to hang out as coworkers 'til finally in October 2004, he asked me out, disguising it as "snowboard shopping." It all started with running an errand with a UHaul truck, then a quick game of pool at my place, then on to Copelands to look at snowboards. That led to an Argentinian dinner, heavy flirting, then yes, you guessed it.... late night longboarding. Needless to say, it was all very exciting. :) Many dates soon followed, including our first kiss during "Princess Bride," and pretty soon we were inseparable. I knew early on that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him. (And still do.) :)
