Our Cute Little Abigail
Our sweet and sassy little girl is growing fast. This is in June, when she was testing out walking - but only with assistance :)

Nate's Break
Since Nate's breaks are few and usually not too long, we try to take full advantage of his temporary homework-free time. During this Spring to Summer quarter break, we took Abby to the Monroe, LA zoo, and then spent a day in Vicksburg, MS. It was great!!

This is the typical southern style tree, with the moss hanging from the branches. Both an ugly and beautiful sight to see :)
Abby loved the day at the Zoo and enjoyed getting so much time with Daddy. I think the boat tour was everyone's favorite, but with how nasty lime green the water was, we were warned that anything lost would NEVER be found :)

Abby became such a pro at stair climbing and loved to do it all throughout each day!
The Great Mississippi River at dusk

The Vicksburg National Military Park was beautiful and all the monuments were very impressive; it was amazing to see that much beauty in a place where so much blood was shed during the Civil War.

The USS Cairo was also very cool to see:

Although we're still #1 fans of living in Utah, living down South is beginning to grow on us a little, especially with having close access to great historical sites like this (we're both a little nerdy with our interests in history :) )

Our May Adventures With Grandma Pinnock
Here are just a few pictures of our adventures when my mom came to visit. Unfortunately Nate was wrapped up with finals, so we did our touring with just us girls. We went to Nachitoches (pronounced "Nak-a-desh" somehow), a fun little southern town where "Steel Magnolias" was filmed, and a few days later we spent a day in Vicksburg. It was such a fun time, and we were so happy to have her visit and spend Abby's first birthday with us!!
Thanks, Mom!! :)

Abigail's 1st Birthday!!!
Warning: This will probably be our longest post yet :)
There are a TON of pictures, but only our favorites of her big day - I'll just explain in order of sequence:
This was taken just after Abby woke up, and as usual in a good mood, and cheering Grandma on while decorating her cake :)
Since her classes, Abby's become a bigger fan of swimming - these are with the new little pool we surprised her with:

Playing tea party with Grandma (as best as a 1 year old can) :)
Watching Pocoyo and enjoying some down time with Daddy before the party
Exploring her new pre-party gift
Our sweet neighbors and friends, Susan and Leslie who celebrated the big day with us
Abby's cakes, courtesy of Grandma Pinnock :)

Abby and opening her fun birthday gifts, thanks to all!!!

I love these next two pics, she wanted that cake so bad she could taste it...

Almost cake time and cracking her classic laughs
She had no idea what we were singing to her...
... then this was a close call, but luckily she wasn't fast enough to get burned...
... and then she literally "took" the cake :)

We loved having Grandma Pinnock here to visit, it was a fun day, and we can't believe our baby is 1!!! We love you Abby, you make us so happy, and we're so glad you're ours!!
